Terms and Conditions of Service

By accessing or using the LIA (Legal Intelligent Assistant) web application and services provided by Rest The Case ("RTC", "We", "Us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("T&C"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These T&C constitute a binding legal agreement. If you are accepting these T&C on behalf of a law firm or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these T&C.

2. The Service (LIA)

TLIA is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered legal research and document summarization tool designed to assist legal professionals.

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

3.1 Account Registration: You must register and maintain an active user account to access the service. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information.

3.2 Subscription: Access to LIA is provided on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annual), payable in advance through RazorPay or other designated payment gateways.

3.3 Recurring Payments: By selecting a subscription plan, you authorize RTC (via our payment processor, RazorPay) to initiate recurring monthly or annual payments from your designated bank account, UPI, or card mandate until cancelled.

4. Payment, Invoicing, and Taxes

4.1 Pricing: All fees are listed on the LIA subscription page and are subject to change with 30 days' prior notice.

4.2 Invoicing: Invoices will be generated automatically upon renewal.

4.3 Taxes: All subscription fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, including but not limited to GST, which shall be borne by the user.

5. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

5.1 Data Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights and ownership over the documents and data you upload to the LIA service ("User Content").

5.2 Prohibited Use: You agree not to use the service for any illegal purpose, including, but not limited to: a. Uploading confidential data without the necessary permissions or violating client privilege. b. Attempting to reverse-engineer LIA’s underlying models or technology. c. Use of the service to generate malicious, defamatory, or illegal content

5.3 Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold RTC harmless from any claim, demand, or damage (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of your breach of this section.

6. Termination and Suspension

RTC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these T&C, including non-payment of subscription fees.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RTC, its directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any content obtained from the Service.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These T&C shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra.
